Your website can be one of your biggest drivers for gaining new clients. However, you only have a few milliseconds (.05 seconds) to capture a user&#8217;s attention before they judge your website. On top of that, about 75% of users admit that they judge a businesses\u2019 credibility based on their website design.<sup>1<\/sup> Below is a list of our top 5 red flags that are easy giveaways your website is outdated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Non-Responsive Design<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meaning it adjusts properly to all screen sizes &#8211; desktop, tablets and mobile. This by far ranks as the biggest offender because you could be missing out and losing potential clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ifpartners.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/RespnsiveMocks-1024x797.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1725\" width=\"476\" height=\"370\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Old photography or bad stock images<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ifpartners.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/BadStock.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1714\" width=\"668\" height=\"668\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Examples: 1. The retired couple sailing. 2. Outdated charts &amp; graphs. 3. Money jar that suggests growth. 4. Overly happy team working together. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This one really counts as two. First, is your headshot 5-10+ years old? It\u2019s time to get a new one. Second, are you using the same old stock photography as your competitors? Above are some examples of the cheesy stock photos we\u2019ve seen too many times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Tiny text<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ifpartners.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/TinyText-791x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1729\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gone are the days that websites should be written in small 10px font size like they used to be back in the 90s and 2000s. You don\u2019t want your users going blind when reading your site. Don&#8217;t be shy to use larger text sizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Dated content or blogs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ifpartners.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Blog-1024x775.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1726\" width=\"454\" height=\"344\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do you have blogs that are over a year old still listed as the most recent post? Or what about the copyright in the footer of your website? Does it reflect the current year? These can give cues to users that you might not be in business anymore. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. Tabbed or built-in bar menu navigation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ifpartners.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Navigation-1024x641.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1728\" width=\"537\" height=\"335\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We see these quite a bit still unfortunately and are an automatic giveaway the website was designed many many years ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve noticed one or all of these signs on your existing website, it\u2019s time for a website re-design.
